Auntie’s Spot: Where Community and Flavor Meet
Auntie’s Spot isn’t just another food truck rolling through Atlanta—it’s a movement born from a dream. Founded by students from Morehouse College, Auntie’s Spot started with the mission to bring quality, affordable food to the AUC (Atlanta University Center) and the greater West End community. What began as a small hustle selling food from our dorms quickly evolved into something bigger—a late-night food plug for the community, tackling food inequity head-on.
Meet the Founders
Noel Boadi and Miles Mayfield are Morehouse College seniors who took a simple idea and transformed it into a trailblazing venture. Their entrepreneurial spirit, combined with a deep love for their community, has made Auntie’s Spot a true cultural phenomenon. From rubbing shoulders with city officials to collaborating with local legends, they’re showing the world what it means to lead with purpose.
Our Story
In the heart of Atlanta’s AUC (Atlanta University Center), our founders, Noel Boadi and Miles Mayfield, realized a gap in food accessibility and late-night dining options for students. What began with serving wings from dorm rooms quickly evolved into a bold vision: to create a student-powered food movement that could tackle a pressing issue in our community.
When big corporations like Walmart left Atlanta’s West End, they created a food desert, leaving thousands of residents without access to affordable, quality food. That’s when Auntie’s Spot stepped in, proving that even small ideas can lead to big solutions. Armed with determination and a food truck, we set out to serve not only delicious meals but also the community itself.
Our Vision
We’re not just here to serve meals; we’re here to serve change. Our ultimate goal? To see an Auntie’s Spot food truck on every college campus and a brick-and-mortar location in the heart of the West End. We envision Auntie’s Spot as a nationwide symbol of what’s possible when purpose meets hustle.
What We Do
Auntie’s Spot is a hub for culture, flavor, and impact. We provide fresh, affordable, and delicious meals, catering to both the college crowd and the surrounding community. From our Honey Lemon Pepper Wings to our Chicken and Waffles, every dish is crafted with love and purpose.
But it doesn’t stop there—our mission extends beyond the menu:
- Tackling Food Inequity: We’re addressing food deserts in Atlanta’s underserved areas, bringing accessible and affordable meals to the West End.
- Empowering the AUC: We’re creating opportunities for students, from employment to partnerships, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and leadership.
- Giving Back: Auntie’s Spot actively participates in philanthropic efforts, including feeding the homeless and collaborating with local organizations to uplift the community.
